Soprano Measha Brueggergosman is pregnant again, expecting to give birth to a boy “at the end of the summer,” said a press release sent out this morning.
Brueggergosman is currently in rehearsals for a production of George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess that opens June 28 at Cincinnati Opera.
The Ottawa-based 34-year-old soprano miscarried twins during her fifth month of pregnancy last year.
Brueggergosman is scheduled to resume singing on Sept. 14, in the first of three concert performances of Porgy and Bess with the Berlin Philharmonic and conductor Simon Rattle.
That, technically speaking, is also the end of summer.
